Morning routines will soon snap back into shape as many families prepare to go back to school. But long before cold lunches are packed, Blackhawk Bank & Trust is stepping up to ensure that every child is equipped with the necessary tools for academic success.

Our annual Tools for School program is now a well-established tradition that embodies our commitment to the many communities we serve by collecting school supplies for local students in need. With 17 branch locations touching 15 different communities, the supply drive reaches students across Scott, Rock Island, Henry and Mercer counties.

Each year we collaborate with local schools and educators to identify the most pressing needs and ensure that the donations are effectively distributed. The success of this program lies in the generosity of Blackhawk Bank & Trust’s employees and our customers. Bank employees, driven by a shared passion for community service, play a crucial role in organizing and promoting the program. Our enthusiasm is matched by customers who contribute generously, knowing their donations will directly benefit local children.

Our commitment to community involvement is both deep and far-reaching, extending well beyond the Tools for School program. With a network of more than 220 dedicated employees, the bank boasts over 10,000 annual volunteer hours, supporting more than 190 nonprofit and community organizations.

Employees are encouraged and empowered to engage in volunteer activities that align with their personal passions and professional expertise, ensuring that their contributions are both meaningful and impactful.

In a world where the smallest gesture of kindness can make a significant difference, we invite you to donate to this year’s Tools for School campaign. Donations are being accepted an any branch location through the month of August; click here to find the branch nearest to you.
