ITM Frequently Asked questions

What is an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM)?

An ITM is a modern banking solution that combines the convenience of an ATM with the personal service of a live teller. It allows you to complete transactions with a real banker via video chat, providing extended service hours and more capabilities than a standard ATM.

What are the benefits of using an ITM?

ITMs offer reduced wait times and the ability to complete more complex transactions than a traditional ATM. Plus, you get the personalized service of a live teller from the convenience of your car.

How does an itm work?

When you select a teller-assisted transaction, a local teller will appear on-screen for a two-way video session. They are able to assist you with the same transactions that you usually conduct at the bank.

Do I need my debit card to use an ITM?

No, you can access your accounts using your account number or even a valid ID when speaking with a live teller.

Are ITM transactions secure?

Yes! ITMs use secure, encrypted technology to protect your personal and financial information, just like an in-branch transaction.

Can I still use an ITM as a regular ATM?

Yes! All ITMs have 24/7 full-service ATM capabilities such as withdrawing cash, transfer funds, and make check/cash deposits. Just insert your Blackhawk Bank & Trust debit card to get started.

Can Coins be used at an itm?

Similar to ATM functionality, the ITMs cannot accept coins.

What are the limitations of an itm?

Our ITMs use advanced technology to read and process your cash and checks. To ensure smooth transactions, the machine may reject bills or checks that are wrinkled, torn, or creased, as well as older currency that lacks current security features.

For deposits, ITMs can accept up to 100 bills and/or 50 items per transaction. If your deposit exceeds these limits, we welcome you to visit a teller inside the branch for assistance.
